They say "everyone experiments in college". I was no exception. That's right, Mom and Dad - I tried everything: oils, watercolors, printmaking, ceramics, jewelry making, charcoals... you name it. And after all that experimentation, what did I learn? Maybe it's because I'm colorblind (or lazy), but nothing beats a quick, simple, regular 2B writing pencil - the same medium I would use to draw dinosaurs when I was five.

However, I've accumulated a multitude of paintings and drawings of various mediums over the years. They weren't commissioned, so after finishing one, I'd gaze at it with a sense of self-wonder for five minutes, and then toss it in the closet with the rest. Now I'm stuck with them.
