But David said to Saul, "Your servant has been keeping his father's sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it."

- 1 Samuel 17: 34-35

Most depictions of David have him fighting a different battle. But the story of David and Goliath was not the only event that captured my imagination as a child. This tiny little snippet was intriguing enough that I decided to make a short-film about it. For a story that had never been seen, I thought it fitting to tell it in a style that had never been seen. I developed an animation process using morphing technology. I combine this with other techniques including 3D animation and the compositing of photo elements to create the unique visuals. It's tedious and time consuming, but as you can see, produces some pretty trippy results!

This film is not "Coming Soon to a Theatre Near You". In fact, it is far from finished. So far, I have made everything on my own, even the music. If you represent a studio or company that might like to become involved, and would like to start a dialogue about finishing this project, or the David and Goliath film, you can reach me by email: noel [at] noelpowell [dot] com.
